A Totally Stampalicious {SFYTT}

This week's SFYTT sponsor is Totally Stampalicious, and I had SO much fun with the Cafe Scarlette digi image and sentiments! This dirty martini sippin' gal makes me giggle...can't you just hear her slurring the words: I don't repeat gossip...so listen carefully!

I colored her with Copics and dotted her green olive and purse button with Tiny Twinkles from Taylored Expressions. I printed the sentiment on PTI Perfect Plum cardstock and hand trimmed the sentiment for the main image circle and then again for the vertical "ticket" strip. The mini bingo card is from Jenni Bowlin, dotted paper from October Afternoon Fly A Kite pad, and buttons are from PTI. For a little sparkle in her red hair, I added a bits of orange and gold with Spica pens.

I can't wait to see more stampalicious-ness, so let's get on with Jen's sketch & "Rohl Call", eh?!

TCP Tuesday Inspiration Challenge

Toni is our hostess for this week's TCP Tuesday and she's got a fun inspiration piece, so head on over to her blog for inspiration and the rest of the TCP Tuesday details.

I've used A Cuppa for my card, pairing it with Basic Grey Blush Collection papers which came to mind when I looked at the inspiration piece more closely. PJ (bear) has a paper pieced apron and cuppa and is otherwise colored with Copics. A little stitching here and there adds to the sentiment and image layering, with a crumply layered flower using both the button and flower button CutUps dies now available at The Cat's Pajamas. It seems that I can't make anything these days without reaching for those two dies!

I'm leaving for CHA (Craft Hobby Association) on Thursday and might not be blogging much the rest of the week, but I'll prepost my SFYTT card for Saturday, so stop back again. It's always nice to have you!

plant a seed {sfytt}

Today's SFYTT is sponsored by Amber Ink, and all participants in this week’s sketch will be eligible to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the Amber Ink store! Everyone participating in this week’s sketch is also welcome to use the code SFYTT&AmberInkC3P1GA for a 10% discount at amberink.com.

I chose the digi set Grow Green for my card today. I tell you what, this is one cu-ute gardening gal, and if I looked like her, why I'd be out there pulling weeds every day, too! Speaking of our garden, we have tomatoes that are ripening, and last night Ed and I enjoyed two wonderful tomato dishes with our supper -- Insalata Caprese & Bruschetta with tomato and basil. Thanks to my wonderful friend, Mary, for the fresh basil! Enough about my wonderful fix in's, let's get on with the card!

I printed out Miss Cute Gardener (MCG for short) and colored her with Copics and colored pencils ala gamsol and then popped her up on a fringed oval of patterned paper from the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety pad. Could that pad of delicious paper BE more perfect for MCG?! After mounting my paper layers on a bright yellow card base, I realized my circle embellishments were a bit too big, so I added another layer of cream cardstock to the base which forced me to stray a bit from Jen's original sketch...good thing Jen is a very understanding lady!

Here is a close up that shows the fun layering, hand cut fringed edge and popped up images...

Ok, now I have some really great news for y'all--Carole Burrage is back in da SFYTT house, and we couldn't be more excited! What's even more exciting than that--I'll be seeing Carole IRL this week at CHA in Chicago! I'll be rooming with my great gal friends, Carole, Leigh O'Brien and Joanne Basile as well...does it get any better than THAT?!

Here's roll call, or as I like to say "Rohl Call", ha! Get it--Amy Rohl, "Rohl Call"...just humor me and give me a chuckle, eh?!

And Baby Makes...

A little more enabling from the recent TCP release, using one of the new sets, And Baby Makes... (N-0686). I created a cute little vertical banner using each of the images and a sentiment, layered on a Spellbinder's label die with a peek of TCP felt on top. The segments are held together using Black Licorice Divine Twine, also available from The Cat's Pajamas.

Detail shots...

Here's one more using the same set...

Lots of dots, and a fun felt and twisted Divine Twine flower using TCP's CutUps flower button die.

We'll see you tomorrow with my weekly Sketch For You To Try!

TCP Tuesday Blog Hop

Does this tea cup ship flanked with penguins make you smile, giggle and render whole body tingles or what?!? I fell in love with Ship Happens (K-0690) the moment I saw it, and then Alma comes up with the coolest TCP CutUps wave die that is perfect for these mighty sailors! Another wonderful CutUps die that is now available for purchase is the button die. See those little wooden buttons?! Yep, die cut using thin sheets of wood veneer, also available from The Cat's Pajamas! Oh, oh,oh, and we can't forget that Divine Twine holding the pennants together, or the Baby Love Glitzy Glitter/ocean spray--also available from, you guessed it--The Cat's Pajamas! Get your green on and get shopping, if you haven't already done so!

This TCP Tuesday we're celebrating our new member company forum on Splitcoaststampers by mixing it up with the Dirty Dozen on their Dare to Get Dirty Challenge. Leigh O'Brien is this week's TCP Tuesday hostess as well as a Dirty Dozen Alum (the elite of the elite stampers), and she's got a great sketch challenge for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenge that we're also using for our TCP Tuesday sketch challenge.

If you're not familiar with the Dirty Dozen and all the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges, check out these links, and then come out and play along with us! We've also got some seriously great eye candy for you in the form of a blog hop to showcase the newly released sets from The Cat's Pajamas!
I mentioned a blog hop, so let's talk about that for a minute! The hop started with Leigh, our hostess, so if you want to start from the top, click on Leigh's name. Or, you may have hopped here from Toni's blog, and that's great, too! After you're done here, hop on over to Joanne's blog for the next stop on the hop!

Birthday Bunny *SFYTT*

Today's SFYTT is being sponsored by The Wildflower Patch digital stamps and this week’s winning participant will win 5 digi images of their choice! Ãœ

I've decided to continue on with sneaky peeks of upcoming sets from The Cat's Pajamas. Yesterday I shared a sneaky peek of this soon-to-be-released TCP set, Birthday Bunny and decided to use it for today's SFYTT card as well because I love it *that* much...yeah, love this bunny enough to marry him, I tell ya!

A few weeks ago, I did a black & white TCP penguin card and thought the "shades of gray" look would be fun to try with Mr. Bunny. I've popped him up on a Jenni Bowlin mini bingo card. See the row of black buttons?! They're paper and I die cut them using a new TCP CutUps button die! I just have to tell you that if you only buy one thing from the release on Tuesday (July 20th), it's got to be this button die...I promise, you'll use it over and over and over...yeah, I would probably marry it, too, cause I love it *that* much, ha!

Okie dokie, let's get to the rest of the SFYTT team:

Jenn Diercks

Sneaky Peek Week: Birthday Bunny!

Sneaky Peek Week
We have some cute new bunnies in TCP town, so I'm just here to warn you: you're gonna fall 'in love'! If those big ears don't have you at 'hello' then you need to look again, ha! Our new bunny friend is a bit shy, hiding behind that big stack of gifts, so let's show him/her a little love, huh?! You'll also see some bunny love from Jen and Tracy today, so hop on over to their blogs and comment to be eligible to win the whole new release from TCP! You can see the whole sneaky peek lineup at Alma's blog.

I colored bunny and gifts with Copics, layered a few pieces of yummy October Afternoon Ducks in a Row paper, and added some "perfectly matched" buttons and blooms using soon-to-be-released TCP Cut-Ups dies--you will love them!!

Thanks for stopping by again today, and good luck with the TCP giveaway. See you tomorrow with my weekly SFYTT.

Sneaky Peek Week: Toni's Tea Set

Sneaky Peek Week

Hi again, I'm back with another sneaky peek of a new set being released by The Cat's Pajamas on July 20th. Today's set is Toni's Tea Set--sweet as can be and just perfect for tea drinkers like myself. I love to take my tea with me to work in the morning, so I thought it would be the perfect time to alter one of these stainless steel travel tumblers using the set along with the new TCP Cut-Ups dies. I saw the same tumblers at my local Archiver's store as well.

Just a note about the tumblers: there is room for some layering, but you need to be very careful when inserting the cardstock layer. I made a second tumbler today (which you'll see in the near future), and I rolled a transparency over my insert in order to prevent the layers from getting moved, bent or crumpled when inserting it, if that makes sense. As I pushed in the insert, I pulled out the transparency...clear as mud?

Here are a few more shots...

Ok...now get yourself over to Toni's and Sony's (blogs) for more sneaky peeks of this sweet set! Oh, and don't forget to leave a little love on each of the sneaky peek week blogs this week to be eligible to win all 8 sets being released on the 20th!

TCP {Sneaky Peek Week} Supply Challenge

Sneaky Peek Week

How's that for a post title mouthful?! Well, that's just a foretaste of the TCP feast to come on July 20th when Alma will be releasing a slew of new (to die for) stamp sets as well as a few other goodies that you're just going to L.O.V.E! Trust me, yer gonna love 'em! Look to Alma's blog for the entire Sneaky Peek Week (SPW) lineup. Leaving comments on each of the blogs during SPW will earn you a chance to win the Grand Prize, so don't delay!

As your TCP Tuesday hostess this week, I have a supply challenge for you to use TWINE! It's one of the hottest supply items out there right now, so let's get twined and twisted this week. Oh, by the way, The Cat's Pajamas just happens to stock a huge selection of Divine Twine in oodles of colors. I've used Black Licorice Divine Twine on my card today, and I just have to let you know: it IS divine!

On my card I've used a few soon-to-be-released items, starting with a key-ute new whale set, called A Whale of a Time (G-0685). I stamped cutie whale on a piece of October Afternoon paper and then glitterified spots here and there with soon-to-be-released TCP German glass glitter for a little extra sumpin'-sumpin'! See the felt, waves & woodgrain buttons?! That's all I'm sayin... Ü

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to hop around and comment on this week's Sneaky Peeks from the TCP Cat Pack in order to be eligible to win the entire stamp release. The winner will be announced at the PJ Party on Splitcoaststampers on the eve of the release (July 19th)!

As always...the TCP Tuesday deets:
1. Each a week one of The Cat Pack will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, technique, color, theme, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until the end of the month to complete the challenge.
4. Play along with us and add your own design to your Splitcoast Gallery using keywords TCPTues118 or to your blog and then use the Inlinkz button at the bottom of the post to add your design to this page. Post your design using the Inlink Button at the bottom of this post. Your design must be linked and visible to Alma's blog post to be considered.
5. TCP stamps are not required, but of course, highly encouraged. {Unless it is a challenge calling for a specific stamp}
6. There will be one winner each month. They will be deemed that month’s Swankiest Stamper and get $25 in Cat’s Cash {money to spend on the TCP site!}.
7. Only designs posted to Alma's blog post will be considered for the Swanky Stamper.
8. The newly crowned Swanky Stamper will be announced on the First of the Month and have his/her winning entry posted on The Cat’s Pajamas website where he/she will reign for the entire month.

Your Next Stamp {SFYTT}

This week's SFYTT is being sponsored by Your Next Stamp with a great giveaway and a SFYTT discount, all of which is detailed over at Jen's blog today. If you remember, I also used a cute YNS set for last week's sketch, and that's because, ah-hem, I thought last week was, ah-hem, sponsored by YNS...super oops! If you missed it, click here. Ü

My card uses a sweet Fhiona from Windswept Fhiona. I paired her with papers from Cosmo Cricket Earth Love, colored her in with Copics and stamped off the mushrooms once in Groovy Guava ink from SU!. The buttons are from PTI as well as the sentiment.

I'm anxious to see more YNS goodness from the crew, so let's see who's got more inspiration for us!

A TCP Tuesday Sneaky Peek for You!

I'm a bit late with my TCP Tuesday card this week, but I wanted to make sure to post it because it features a new set from The Cat's Pajamas, releasing on July 20th! Alma's got a huge release lined up with lots of swanky stamp sets as well as a few other goodies that you're going to L-O-V-E!!

This week's challenge is a color challenge hosted by Joanne--yellow, lime, raspberry, YUM! Head over to her place when you're done here for all the details, and then to Alma's blog to upload your creation.

The set used here is called Good Friends (K-0687), and it's perfect for those girlfriends you just couldn't live without! Notice that button twine? You can get your very own stash of it from The Cat's Pajamas, now stocking a huge variety of colors. I used Green Apple Divine Twine to hold my buttons.

There's a sneaky peek of something else on the card, but I won't tell you what...I'll just keep you guessing until our official TCP Sneaky Peek Week, beginning next week! The Cat Pack has a lineup of sneak peeks for you, so be sure to check out our blogs each day to see what's coming down the pike! You can locate the girls' blogs right over there...on my sidebar.

Well, time to let you go, so you can start stamping up some yumminess yourself with J's hot color combo! Thanks for stopping by...

happy fishy wishes {SFYTT}

This little mermaid just makes me smile every time I look at her, so I had to do something extra fun for this week's card to show her a little love. I picked the splashy cute set, Happy Days Mermaid , from Your Next Stamp for my card today.

As you can see, I took some liberties with the sketch, using buttons for the layer on the left. I knew I wanted to somehow incorporate something fiber-like and remembered a stash of good old SU! Magic Mesh that I've had collecting dust for years. Who knew?! It worked perfectly as an anchor for all those buttons. Speaking of those buttons, I was totally inspired by Leigh O'Brien's card last week that used lots of bubbly buttons--thanks, dearie! I think the rest is pretty straightforward: a cork beach with splashy reverse die cut scallop waves from which my cute Your Next Stamp mermaid is residing at the moment. To the right is another strip of fishy paper from Cosmo Cricket's Snorkel collection. Last but not least is the clear card base, something I haven't used for awhile and I think it goes perfectly with the beach and water scene.

Let's see what inspiration the rest of the crew has this week along with a new guest designer for July over at Jen's blog. Happy 4th of July, all!
