MFT Wednesday Stamp Club #143

Welcome to my blog and to this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch with My Favorite Things! I have to admit that I had some reservations about this week's sketch with that half circle. For some reason circles sort of freak me out, but in the end I always end up thinking I should use circles in my designs more often! Go figure.

For the base-basics of my card, I used elements from Blueprints 7 and then combined Die-namics and stamps for a sort of clean and simple collage look. Now, if that isn't an oxymoron, I don't know what is, he he! My colors are Fuse Green, Steel Blue and Primitive White.

A closer look at the collage pieces stamped from Own Your Own Story, Timeless, Abstract Art and Inspired by Time combined with Die-namics Contempo Cage and Medium Leafy Flourish. Embellishments include Steel Grey buttons and hemp cord.

I've finished off the inside with stamps from Abstract Art, Inspired by Time and the flourish from Own Your Own Story in the colors Fuse Green, Steel Blue and Black Licorice.

Thanks for stopping by to see me today! I hope you'll stop back on Monday for a fun little surprise and then again on Wednesday for the start of MFT Teaser Time Week!

Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #142

Welcome to Wednesday Stamp Club (WSC) with My Favorite Things! I'm in the mood for Christmas, even though I love everything about fall, so I used this week's sketch (#142) to express my holiday spirit!

I've used the fabby new background set Large Scale Backgrounds (Free with $60) along with diagonal stripes from Plaid Builder Background for my Red Hot and Gumdrop Green layers, and topped it with a sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments in Steel Grey ink. And just to spice it up a bit, I added a Blu Raspberry snowflake using the largest snowflake die from Let It Snowflake.

Inside is repeat of the card front on a smaller scale with another sentiment in Steel Grey ink from Seasonal  Sentiments. Love those polka dots paired up with the stripes!

Thanks for stopping in today. You can find all the details for Wednesday Stamp Club over at the MFT Blog, and remember, you can win MFT cash for playing along!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club {Tickle My Fancy}

I'm sliding in at the last minute with a card for the current MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #141 challenge. As per usual, you can see the original sketch at the MFT Blog as well as all of the lovely cards linked up by Team MFT and anyone else playing along.

Sketch #141 uses the Blueprints 7, the latest and greatest Blueprints Die-namics of which I am very fond! I've combined the colors Fuse Green, Blu Raspberry and Steel Grey laid out on a Primitive White base layer and card base. The Fuse Green layer is stamped with the current Free with $60 set, Large Scale Backgrounds. The Blu Raspberry feather was cut with Feathers and Arrows Die-namics and the sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set, Right On Target.

Inside is a trio of stamps from Right On Target stamped in Fuse Green, Steel Blue and Blu Raspberry.

Thanks for stopping in today, I hope you enjoyed your visit! I'll be back later this week with another Wednesday Stamp Club sketch card for you!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club #140 {late tackle}!

I'm over a week late with my WSC #140 card, but I had a design idea in my head for George's birthday card and was determined to finish it!
George holds passionate interests in numerous things, and football is at the top of his list right now, so I combined a few of My Favorite Things and came up with a fun football themed card for his 6th birthday.  At the bottom of this post you'll find direct links to all products used on today's card, but I'd like to highlight a few of my favorites.

A detail shot of the card front shows the All Star football from cut from Paver Red card stock. Who knew that it was the perfect football color?! An abbreviated birthday sentiment from Lollipop Additions - Birthday is stamped in Sweet Tooth pigment ink and again on the Kraft Ticket Strip in Steel Blue ink. Sweet Tooth ink was again used for the 'lines' on the Gumdrop Green football field using Plaid Background Builder. The '6' from the sixty yard line comes from Big Numbers Die-namics in Primitive White card stock.

I love how the inside turned out using more Sweet Tooth pigment ink for the sentiment from Birthday Sentiments as well as the playbook/hugs-n-kisses x's and o's from Typewriter Alphabet. I again used Paver Red card stock to cut the corner triangle from Blueprints 7 to mimic the old tabletop football we made as kids. ;-)

I hope to get in on a little fun using the current Wednesday Stamp Club sketch (#141) early next week, so stop on back if you get a chance! You'll find links to the current sketch participants at the MFT Blog right HERE where I'm planning to stop, peruse and glean a bit of inspiration for my next project.
