Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #178

Hi, and welcome to this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch with My Favorite Things.  This week's sketch is a fun one that can be interpreted any way you wish! It works perfectly with Die-namics Centerpieces Congratulations Shaker, or with any small stamped or die cut image of your choosing.

If you're a frequent flyer here, you probably know of my love affair with anything nautical, and that's the direction I took with this week's sketch. I used a scrap of card stock which I die cut the anchor from Sea Charms, and then filled it over and over with embossing paste.

And, since my jar of embossing paste was sitting there open, I also embossed the fishtail flag from Blueprints 15 using the new All Line Up Stencil on the diagonal.

I love combining the unexpected and had lots of ideas/options for sentiments. In the end I decided to go with one from Sea Life, and here are other options just in case you were wondering:

Be sure to check in at the MFT Blog for more inspiration and come play along! Have a great weekend, and I'll see you back here for Release Countdown posts starting Wednesday. Ü

MFT Creative Challenge

Hi, and welcome to this month's Creative Challenge with My Favorite Things! This month's challenge is all about getting in touch with our masculine side - translation: let's create something for the fav men in our lives!  And, since Father's Day and our wedding anniversary are just around the corner, I thought I'd get a jump start on cards for both occasions.

I've been wanting to make a card using the line 'I love you more than bacon' and finally did it!

Teaming up for this one:  Say Hello Die-namics, Woodgrain Background, Life's Direction and For the Record on the front...

...You Mean the World to Me, Cooper Alphabet and Friend Request on the inside.

Second up is a fun Father's Day card using more of Friend Request and the coordinating Die-namics, Smart Phone, along with the adorable bow tie from Suit and Tie Die-namics.

I fancied up the bow tie with Plaid Builder Background and emphasized 'DAD' in Red Hot with the Negative Dot Alpha Die-namics.

Inside is a punny little sentiment from Friend Request with the 'y' crossed out and replaced with a 'd' to make it just-right-special for 'dad'. ;-)

Thank you for stopping by for this month's Creative Challenge! I hope I've inspired you to get a jump start on Father's Day and create a fun masculine project using all of those fun products in your MFT arsenal. Products used on today's projects are listed below.  Finally, visit the MFT Blog for complete challenge details.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club - Cheer UP!

Hi and welcome to this week's Wednesday Stamp Club (WSC) post! You'll find complete WSC details HERE at the MFT Blog.

I have been having much fun playing around with the MFT Stencils and used the All Lined Up Stencil with my watercolors to create a fun background on the Rounded Banner layer.

I single Flat Bottom Cloud in Steel Grey card stock, hemp cord and sentiment from Blue Skies Ahead finish off the card front for a CAS look.

Inside is another sentiment from Blue Skies Ahead in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and a bit more of the stenciled background die cut with a tab from Blueprints 15.

If you'd like to see more of this sketch, head on over to the MFT Blog for the original sketch, details on how YOU can win by playing along with the sketch, and links to everyone who's playing along as with the sketch.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping over.
