Coffee Lovers Bloghop + Reverse Confetti

Happy Day-After-National-Coffee Day, everyone! Do you have a little caffeine hangover from all of the free cups you scored yesterday? Well, I've got a little coffee fix for you that I'm linking up with Amy Tsuruta's Coffee Lover's Blog Hop which is going on through October 2nd with 40+ sponsors giving up fabulous prizes. There's still time, so think about getting coffee-crafty and play along!

I've used products from Reverse Confetti that make coffee making a breeze (like a Keurig...when it works)!

The to-go cup pieces are die cut from Confetti Cuts Caffeinated Cups and the sentiments from For The Love Of Latte.

Thanks for stopping by today!

SugarPea Designs Creative Color Challenge

Halloween is just around the corner, folks, and I've got a fun and festive tag layered card to share with you today featuring this month's SugarPea Designs Creative Color Challenge!

A candy basket full of fun die cuts and stamps from SugarPea Designs came together on this one. I've added texture with the SugarCuts Woodgrain Journal Card and Gift Tag dies, along with a few stamped backgrounds on the banner flag using Build A Background - Basics (all products are linked below).

The BOO sentiment is actually from the Read Between the Lines stamp set which I've omitted most of the eye chart stamp, revealing only 'BOO'. (I SPY where I could reveal 'eek' in that stamp as well.) Remember to keep your eyes open wide for new ways to stretch your stamps and dies - you work hard for the money!

This is the quintessential Halloween color combo, so pull out your SugarPea stamps and dies and get spooky with us this month. Check out the SugarPea Designs Blog for more inspiration and challenge information - win some spooky SPD cash just for playing along! Keep scrolling down for all of the products I've used on today's card and go have a great Monday.

Here Cake-y, Cake-y, Cake-y {Interactive Card}

Doesn't he make a cute birthday boy?! You may recognize him from Reverse Confetti's adorable Halloween set, Too Cute To Spook in cahoots with the cake from Later Alligator.  I love that you can easily mix and match the images from the Dawn Machell line at Reverse Confetti!

I'm also using this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch #287.

Notice the cake isn't in his hand any longer? I had fun making another interactive spinner card using the space between the narrow diagonal striped layer and the pink layer below it.

Never tried a spinner card? Me either, until I watched this video by Tracy Mae (thank, Tracy!).  One last note about birthday boy's party hat - it's the witch hat from Too Cute To Spook with the brim and tip trimmed off. Love stretching my stamps!

I hope you've had fun here today and will give this week's sketch a whirl, and maybe try out that interactive spinner card thing I've been enjoying this week. Thanks for stopping over!

Spooktacular Interactive Flying Bats!

Welcome to the SugarPea Designs Creative Challenge: Falling For Fall!

I watched a great video by Tracy Mae Designs showing how to create an interactive spinner card and decided to create my own with a spooktacular batty spin!

I used the Zig Zag Stiched Circle SugarCuts to cut both the opening and the 'moon' that my Stitched Autumn Icons bats are spinning around. I had to use something other than a coin for my spinner because I didn't want it to show behind the bats, so I punched out vellum circles to use instead. They're not quite as sturdy as a penny would be, but they still allow the bats to move around the circle and even do flips!

Here you can see the bats have flown to a different position. I also have a video on Instagram if you'd like to see them in action HERE

Please take a minute to visit the SugarPea Designs Blog for details on this month's Creative Challenge: Falling For Fall because there's a prize involved! Finally, take a moment to check out the fun SugarPea products I used on today's card below. I hope I've inspired you to play along!

CAS(E) + SSS Monday Challenge + Reverse Confetti

After gold embossing my sentiment, I applied three shades of pink Zig Clean Color Markers to the card base and then brushed each with water using an aqua brush.

Water coloring is my go-to and favorite technique at the moment, so I knew I had a match made in heaven with the Simon Says Monday Challenge to use your favorite technique combined with this dreamy CAS(E) sketch.

I added bits of sparkle with color coordinated sequins to finish my card. That's it, sweet and simple as can be.

I hope you'll find some time this to play along with these challenges, and always remember to trust in the Lord (for everything).

Hugs,
Amy

SPD SugarSketch 30 - Football Birthday

I have to start this post with a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my youngest on his 8th birthday! We did a little (lotta) celebrating over the weekend, so I'm going to keep this short and sweet, but I'll be back later to show you how I stretched my SPD SugarCuts dies, I mean really stretched, like yoga stretched!

Did you KNOW you could make a football from the Zig Zag Stitched Circle  + SugarCuts numbers? I'll be showing you how real soon, so stay tuned.

Crazy how in-tune this month's SugarSketch is with a clean cut football theme, isn't it? See the links below for all of the SugarPea Designs products used in my card.
Here's a peek at the original sketch which I followed quite closely. More inspiration for the sketch can be found HERE at the SugarPea Designs Blog.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope I've inspired you to yoga-stretch your stamps and dies this week.
